TROY CHALMERS
I was married to my wonderful wife in on December 18th 2020. Ever since then my life has never been the same. She has brought new perspective and gives far more reason for the day to day activities than I ever thought possible.
I am a senior just about to graduate from BYU-Idaho. Studying Mechanical Engineering here has brought the benefit of learning from some truly remarkable instructors. My studies have been rooted in the foundations, but have allowed more specialized studies into the fields of system control and modeling, composite manufacture and repair, and product design and development.
My (non-guided, non-cookie cutter) projects have included a password protected lockbox, an automated rotisserie, and a carbon fiber hairclip.
While here, I have been a TA and Tutor. I have always mentored and supported my fellow students, and have made a lot of friends. I still keep in touch with many of them.
Team projects, while challenging, always function best when the team itself is unified, understand the task at hand, and effectively complete it without discrepancy in workload. I have learned to work well in a team, and those that I have been a part of have achieved good grades and better understanding.
